- John Roberts is the coach and co-founder of the Furman men's rugby club. He has coached Furman for 12 years and has compiled a coaching record of 133-41-1. His teams have captured three national titles, been runner-up twice and earned five south championships. This fall, Furman honored Roberts by naming the university's rugby pitch in his honor. John has worked at Furman for 13 years where he serves as director of internal and electronic communications. He and his wife, Brandi have five children: Zach (16), Maggie (14), Alley (13), Julianna (12) and Max (10).
